Social Media Manager - GAME / Studio Retail We’re seeking a passionate, energetic Social Media Manager to join our new-look team. GAME and Studio brands are going through a monumental evolution, with a new brand direction, refined purpose, and a new team to continue delivering this. Working closely with our Social Lead and the wider social media and content creation team in-house, the successful Social Media Manager will execute the strategy across GAME and Studio brands, with potential for additional social channels. Key objectives include reach, site traffic, engagement, and paid CTR. They will ensure that all communication and content reflect each brand’s personality, deliver on key marketing objectives, and leverage culture to drive relevance for our brands. Key channels in year one will include Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
Content Creation and Management: Develop, curate, and manage content for our social media platforms, working closely with our creative and production teams to deliver ideas. Attend shoots with models, celebrities and brands to capture social-first photography and video content. Strategy Development: Create and implement social media strategies to align with business goals. Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and monitor social media campaigns. Engagement: Interact with followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster community engagement around relevant topics. Analytics and Reporting: Track, analyse, and report on social media performance metrics. Collaboration: Work with other departments (marketing, PR, customer service) to coordinate efforts. Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on social media trends, tools, and best practices whilst sharing insights with wider teams. Develop engaging copy for long and short-form content and establish the brand’s tone of voice taking direction from our brand positioning and evolution. Working with the paid social team to execute paid-for campaigns, distributing content across platforms where the audience lives.
Qualifications
Meticulous organization and timekeeping in a fast-paced, energetic team that juggles multiple projects. Attention to detail from a creative and copywriting point of view. Ability to translate brand direction and purpose into social ideas and content. Ability to identify relevant cultural insights and apply these to creative thinking. Deep understanding of how people engage with social platforms, and how behaviour is changing. Ability to translate data into insights to inform creative strategy. Great facilitation skills – for workshops and creative sprints. Ability to develop inspirational creative briefs for the creative content team. Solution-oriented mindset.
