Overview

Join the Close Brothers Retail Data Governance Team where you will support data governance strategy, policies, and procedures across the Retail division (Motor Finance, Premium Finance & Savings) ensuring effective data management and compliance with regulatory requirements. Working as part of the Data Governance team our ideal team member will have previous experience in conducting data quality assessments and implement data quality improvement initiatives with excellent ability to understand, create and maintain meta-data.

Responsibilities

  • Support the set-up of the Retail Data Governance operating model defining the most efficient and effective way of working across the Retail division and the wider bank
  • Identify and engage with Data Owners and Data Stewards across Retail, outlining responsibilities and maintaining a Data Ownership register
  • Document regulatory reporting data provisioning obligations
  • Work closely with key contacts to identify and capture data problems, gaps etc and interpret and translate these into business, application, and operational requirements Present findings at the relevant working group
  • Support delivery and ongoing reporting cycles under Product Sales Data (PSD)
  • Support remediation activity for regulatory projects
  • Design Data Governance\Data Quality rules and controls, engaging with business subject matter experts and IT\technology resources
  • Ensure Compliance obligations are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required

Qualifications

  • An ability to clearly document data requirements for regulatory reporting using critical data elements standard for mapping sources, uses, definitions and supporting meta-data
  • Experience in defining data controls and validation
  • Experience on regulatory / bureau data submission processes
  • Experience of data analytics, profiling and cleansing
  • Experience creating DQ Dashboards and data visualisation
  • Experience of conducting root cause analysis & remediation planning

Desirable skills

  • Create interactive dashboards using Tableau
  • The ability to configure Informatica IDQ, Analyst and Meta Manager products to validate data to definition
  • The ability to use tooling to expose and document lineage using BCBS 239 principles
  • Experience of logical data modelling, data warehouse concepts and designs
  • Knowledge of Informatica and/or SSIS
  • Knowledge of Irish CCR requirements or other jurisdiction bureau reporting
