About the Role

Destination Education are currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Newham. The role is based within the schools Resource Provision, supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and additional learning needs. Youll work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to provide tailored support, helping each child reach their full potential in a nurturing and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with ASD
Assist in implementing individual learning plans (EHCPs)
Encourage positive behaviour and promote social interaction
Support classroom activities, sensory play, and communication development
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent support
The Ideal Candidate Experience supporting children with ASD or other Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for helping young people thrive
Relevant qualifications or training (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, SEN experience) are desirable
